Stuttering therapy for school age children should be approached with the right tools

This is a practical workshop for speech language therapists working with school-aged children who stutter. This one-and-a-half-day workshop (delivered over three mornings), is followed by a half-day follow up approximately three months later.

The workshop is interactive with case studies, videos and role-plays. A range of approaches for this age group will be covered, as well as the problem solving process involved in selecting the best fit for a client. Please note that prior reading or a workshop about the Lidcombe Program is essential.

The half-day workshop, is a follow up ‘hands-on’ session which provides you with the opportunity to practise specific techniques and discuss case studies. These workshops will be facilitated by Anna Hearne and Brittney Mackie.

*SLTs who have attended a one-day workshop within the last 2 years and have not yet attended a half day follow up workshop are welcome to attend if there are spaces available.

In 2022 we are planning to offer two of these workshops – both of which will be online.
