This course is designed for Speech Language Therapists (SLTs) working with tamariki and rangatahi aged 7-18 who stutter, or those SLTs looking to expand their knowledge of stuttering in this age group. We’ll cover the basics of stuttering, explore key considerations when working with this age range, and dive into the important role we play as SLTs in supporting those who stutter. You’ll also get a look at the latest evidence about stuttering therapy for this age group.

By the end of the course, you’ll have a solid foundation that will help support your learning in future modules. Just a heads-up—this course doesn’t focus on specific therapy approaches for this age range and also doesn’t focus on early stuttering (typically seen in children aged 3-6).
