Let’s Talk About It: Destigmatising and Normalising Stuttering

This course has been developed for speech language therapists, working with people who stutter of all ages. As Speech language therapists, we play a crucial role in helping to destigmatise and normalise stuttering. You’ll come away from this course with a greater understanding of how we can do this through education, and the way that we talk about and expose someone to stuttering.

Supporting Pre-Schoolers who Stutter

This course is suitable for SLTs working with preschool aged tamariki who stutter. You’ll come away from this course with an understanding of how you can best support tamariki and their whānau, from the first kōrero right through to the end of your support. We’ll cover many of the well-known and researched therapy programmes, as well as practical ideas that are based on research and clinical experience.

Teasing and Bullying

This course is designed for Speech Language Therapists who would like to learn more about supporting people who stutter with teasing and bullying. Covering all age ranges, this course is suitable for SLTs working with people who stutter across the lifespan.
