This course is designed for Speech Language Therapists (SLTs) working with tamariki and rangatahi aged 7-18 who stutter, or those SLTs looking to expand their knowledge of stuttering in this age group. We’ll cover the basics of stuttering, explore key considerations when working with this age range, and dive into the important role we play as SLTs in supporting those who stutter. You’ll also get a look at the latest evidence about stuttering therapy for this age group. We recommend this course for new graduates or those new to working with tamariki and rangatahi who stutter.
By the end of the course, you’ll have a solid foundation that will help support your learning in future modules. Just a heads-up—this course doesn’t focus on specific therapy approaches for this age range and also doesn’t focus on early stuttering (typically seen in children aged 3-6).
This course contains 13 individual lessons and should take approximately 90 minutes to complete.
Once you have purchased this course, you will have 4 weeks to complete it. At the end of 4 weeks, you will no longer have access to the content.
